Aräometer (Hydrometer), as used in many Ships and U-Boats! Was used by crew members to test the density / salinity of salt water. This was important when determining the torpedo time delay settings on U-Boats. Made of glass and steel. This is a SUPERB example, and comes COMPLETE with it’s original cardboard tube! Numerous markings and stamps throughout, with NO breaks, cracks, or damage! Appears to be 100% functional! 11.5 in length, it was b. Rought back by a US veteran. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, or display! TERMS OF SALE. This type was specifically used by Navy Personnel and various U-Boats and Ships! Manufactured in a brown rubberized canvas, this is a GOOD used example. Though it does show some wear, marks, and stains due to the age, there is NO damage! Still retains the original tie string, and the manufacture and size stamps are still VERY clear, indicating a production date of 1940, and size 60. Unfortunately, it is VERY stiff… But should display quite well. VERY RARE item, it would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display! TERMS OF SALE. This is a heavy resin model of the HMAS Armidale II handbuilt by Gtrans International. It’s made of heavy resin, the display case consists of finished wood and Plexiglas. It’s in excellent condition.
