All brass World War II era Navy Department Bureau of Ships Automatic Electic Com. Nice patina on the brass that is showing on the side panels, outer part of the handset rack and around the dial. The dial turns as it should and all numbers can be seen well. Unfortunately the ear piece cup on the handset is broken and missing half the face. Name plate has some paint on it but can all still be read and has contract number. Please see pictures for more details and condition. This is from the collection of Ret. Wright who was in the OK and OX Division as a AW2 on the USS John F. Kennedy during the East Med Cruise 83-84. He came out of The Bell CGSC in 1995 as LCDR. In 1999 he was a CDR on the USS Constellation CV-64s Western Pacific Deployment. For more please see other listings. This high quality, highly detailed, intermediate level, HMS Victory model is Brand New, fully assembled and ready for display (not a kit). This HMS Victory Model was specially designed & built by the plank on bulkhead method (joining multiple small pieces of wood like Rosewood, Mahogany, Teak and other exotic tropical wood together on the hull). The sailboat model is built exactly to scale as the original HMS Victory was with many details. The task required skillful craftsmen hundreds of hours to accomplish. The model measures 21 long from bow to stern. It’s a fabulous boat model that will be a conversation piece for any room or office. Size: 21″ overall length x 18″ height x 7 width, Condition: New (fully assembled). Displaced over 3500 tons, and measured 226 feet in length and 51 feet abeam. Her hull was sheathed in copper to guard against barnacles. In a stiff breeze, she would billow 36 sails totaling four acres of canvas, and plough the waves at 10 knots. In weather fair or foul, the Victory was a fortress stocked with 35 tons of powder and 120 tons of shot. She is a veteran of many hard-won naval confrontations. On October 12, 1805, one of the most momentous battles in European history broke out off the coast of Cape Trafalgar, Spain. The combined fleets of France and Spain led by Napoleon the Great invaded England as a massive and powerful navy. They were thwarted by the supremacy of British sea power led by Lord Nelson. The Victory has maintained a name for herself ever since. Honored and preserved over the years, she rests now at Portsmouth, England as a never-to-be-forgotten symbol of loyalty, courage and devotion to duty. THIS MODEL COMES WITH WOODEN HULL, THE WHITE PAINT BELOW THE WATERLINE ON THE HULL HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. 39″ Long x 15″ Wide x 33 High (1:86 scale). Over hundreds of hours by master artisans. Of the Sovereign of the Seas. Over 1,000 individual hull pieces, with more than 100 carved adornments. Detailed scrollwork, carvings, beakhead and railed quarter balconies with hand-painting. Extensive rigging with hundreds of single, double and triple deadeyes. Realistic lifeboats with oars and numerous other deck features. Numerous additional deck details such as cannon balls, barrels, rope coils, cleats, etc. Planks used in plank-on-frame hull construction. Include walnut, cherry, birch, teak and rosewood. Actually cut into the hull. Planked deck with nail holes. Authentic scale lifeboats with oars. Wooden staircases ascend aftcastle and forecastle. Solid brass cannon fire through actual gun ports. Cannonball racks, buckets, barrels, rope coils and other nautical items adorn decks. Lattice grates, rudder chains, wooden ladders and planked steps. Four metal anchors on anchor-chains. Masterfully stitched, heavy canvas sails hold shape and do not wrinkle. Taut rigging with varied thread gauge and color. Cloth flags fly from masts and rigging. Of original plans, historical drawings and paintings as well as actual photographs ensures the highest possible accuracy. NOTE: All models now have a natural wood hull below waterline. This is my LARGER and much finer detailed version of ORCA diorama from the movie Jaws. NOT FROM A KIT, NOT A TOY. Each is ONE OF A KIND ORIGINAL. Everything hand crafted by me from photos. I tried to capture some of the notable parts from the film such as the machete, the chum pail and ladle Brody used to attract Jaws to the boat (“your gonna need a bigger boat”), the bottle of wine, three glasses and three plates on the table below decks, the O2 tanks, one in JAWS mouth, Some of the details inc. Over head VHF radio w/ hand set, two station controls, gauges, bench seat, table, access door, pulpit, barrels , gaff’s, tail hooks mast with broken boom.
