Large 8 1/2 ft French Warship Model Aldebaran, Hand-Built & Customized
Large 8 1/2 ft French Warship Model “Aldebaran”, Hand-Built & Customize d. This intriguing piece was designed and custom built. This model appears to be a combination of a Spanish galleon and French schooner. It has three equal-sized masts, the fore and main mast bearing the largest sails and the mizzen mast being the smaller. There are seven adjustable cannons on the port and starboard sides of the main deck, with a single life boat tied up at the quarter deck. There are six more cannons on the poop deck, directed toward the bow. The rudder is attached with wire and moves easily, while the ratlines, windlass, and anchors all are hand shaped and detailed. The sails are in good condition, although there is some noticeable staining. The model measures 70″ tall, 101″ long, 9 1/2 wide, and weighs about 50 lbs. This piece is good to very good condition with some signs of wear from both age and use. Please consult images and message with any questions.
