Within 6 months the Drexler would be sunk off Okinawa by a Japanese Kamikaze plane. The shell itself is steel which makes me think it was a blank and meant to be presented to some dignitary. Lamp stands 24 tall and was probably fired from 45mm gun. Shell has been mounted to round base made
