Cond: “MINT” Used Condition, Battleship In Custom Wood and Glass Case, This Precision Diecast Model Has Been Crafted In Exact Details As USS Missouri Battleship To Scale. It Is Hand Assembled And Finished To The Highest Quality Standard. Missouri was the last battleship commissioned by the United States and is best remembered as the site of the surrender of the Empire of Japan on September 2, 1945, which ended World War II. Nickname: “THE MIGHTY MO”. Commissioned: 11 June 1944. Launched: 29 January 1944. Length: 887 feet 3 inches (270.4 m). Speed: 32.5 knots (37.4 mph; 60.2 km/h). Cond: “MINT” Used Condition, Excellent Details. The USS ARIZONA SIGNATURE EDITION Come With CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY and History of the USS Arizona Booklet. Scale of 1 to 10 This Model Is A 10+. USS Arizona (BB-39) was the second and last of the Pennsylvania class of “super-dreadnought” battleships built for the United States Navy in the mid-1910s. Shortly after the end of the war, Arizona was one of a number of American ships that briefly escorted President Woodrow Wilson to the Paris Peace Conference. Several years later, she was transferred to the Pacific Fleet and remained there for the rest of her career. Aside from a comprehensive modernization in 19291931, Arizona was regularly used for training exercises between the wars, including the annual Fleet Problems (training exercises). When an earthquake struck Long Beach, California, on 10 March 1933, Arizona’s crew provided aid to the survivors. On 7 December 1941, Arizona was hit by Japanese torpedo bombers that dropped armor-piercing bombs during the attack on Pearl Harbor. After one of their bombs detonated in a magazine, she exploded violently and sank, with the loss of 1,177 officers and crewmen.
